SAGE 2023 - Demo Dormiveglia - A Dreamlike Journey - [Updated 2022 Demo]

Gorgeous art direction, writing and animation that's nice and cheeky where it needs to be, excellent sound design, solid feeling controls, and a main character with a whip.

Time to get out the big ol' bucket of popcorn and hope this makes it to full release sometime, because I'm digging it.

Dormiveglia is an amazing narrative driven platformer! The game is set in a beautiful, and brilliantly, brightly colored world, filled with memorable characters, who feel very much like real people. Quinn is quite a loveable main character too! I especially loved the opening scene of her waking up. The story seems like it is going to be quite an interesting one and I look forward to seeing how it unfolds in the full game! Gameplay wise, it reminds me a bit of classic Castlevania mixed with a bit of Bionic Commando, but the lassoing mechanic really makes it stand out.
I look forward to seeing what the future holds for this project and to revisiting the demo after SAGE.
