SAGE 2024 - Demo Sunrise Doll

Overview

Sunrise Doll is a single-screen 2D game in which you control the swordsman known as Pawn.
The goal of the game is to clear all levels in a sequence. To clear a level, Pawn must defeat all enemies in the level. To defeat an enemy, Pawn must use her sword to reflect projectiles back at it, and then collect its soul. There are various enemies that have different behaviors.

Platform: Windows (32 bit)
Control scheme: Keyboard
Controller support: No

Default controls:
  • Cursor control keys: menu navigation and Pawn's movement
  • Z key, X key: menu interaction and Pawn's attacks
  • Escape key: menu cancellation and pause/unpause
  • F4 key: toggle fullscreen

Randomly saw the game and really enjoyed it! Plays smooth, makes me think, has lore.

A few questions:
-Any chance we'll see the full game someday?
-Would you like to include characters & worlds descriptions into the game itself?
-Are you the sole developer like Zun or is Dropodo the second guy in your team?
-Googled your name, saw you compose nice music too. Will Sunrise Doll include music made by you?
-Do you plan Linux/Android ports?
