I'm kind of an amateur in coding and making games, and I'm working on an engine based on the NSSSW Engines(NotSoSimpleSonicWorlds), with a bunch of new characters, skins, etc. One of the characters I'm adding is Ray, who I'm having trouble figuring out how to code in. I know it has something to do with the YSpeed/XSpeed, and maybe acceleration? I can't figure out how to program so you build speed when diving and transfer that speed to your rising height while swooping.
