SONIC THE HEDGEHOG is the fan-made PC remake of the original "SONIC THE HEDGEHOG" known as Sonic 2006, using Unity Engine.
This project using only original SONIC THE HEDGEHOG files like assets, sounds and textures.

This SAGE 2017 DEMO features Dusty Desert level with Sonic and Elise.
And also try to find mystical secret in the desert.

Compared to the original, this actually do feel better to play for the most part. One thing I'd suggest maybe is having the rings maybe pull towards Sonic when he moves by them, like in Sonic Utopia. Also maybe have the camera pan towards where Sonic is facing when he's moving. Overall though I think this is very well done, and I hope to see the rest of the game ported in the future. I love how you made Sonic just slowly sink into the sand instead of outright falling through. And I don't know if this is just my imagination, but he feels a little faster as well. Again, I really hope you're still porting the rest of the game.

It's tough to put my finger on it, but compared to original '06, this build feels tighter to control. Performance-wise, the demo ran very well. Only criticism comes from the boost pads towards the end of the stage. When launching Sonic, they send him straight forward, instead of at an upwards angle (photo attached of which point I'm referring to). Otherwise, fun to try out!

Okay, so your older build worked on my PC, BUT, this build pops up with "not a valid Win32 application"
I downloaded the 32 bit version for my 32 bit PC.

My specs are:
Windows XP Service Pack 3 Professional 32 Bit
4 GB ram
ATI Radeon HD 4550 GFX Card
AMD Athlon 2 X2 245 Processor (2 CPUs) 2.9Ghz

Hey man, I've downloaded the 64Bit Build and it worked fine, However as soon as I start level, the player starts walking forward and activates the shield by itself with no way to stop them from doing so, Tried messing around with control configs but it didn't work either, I can't even select options other than START GAME in the main menu, can you help me up ? my specs are :

Windows 10 Enterprise 64 Bit
8GB RAM
Nvidia GeForce GTX1060 6GBs
Intel Core i5-6400 2.70 GHz

EDIT : Tried with the 32Bit Build too and the same issue occured, can you help me with this ?

This is strange. Try to disable Sticky Keys (Shift) and all USB devices

Sorry for the late reply, Sticky keys are indeed disabled, also my Keyboard and Mouse are USB, and I need them to play, I have nothing else plugged in, any idea ?

Great job! Made an account just to make one request.

In the final version will there be an option to invert the joystick axis? My main gripe with the game is the forced inverted camera scheme, and this is something that would make playing a ton easier for myself at least. Thanks!

I think I found the "secret" in the desert but I can't seem to get the door open.

I've found 4 of the blue enemies, but cannot seem to find any more! Am I on the right track at least? Are defeating the blue enemies key to opening the door? And how many are there?

Fixed by uninstalling vjoy
