Really liking the look of this zone, this and the use of Crackers-esque Tails sprites gives me Edge Of Darkness vibes, which is a good thing! My only real nitpick with this would be the lower tiles of the wall on the left, they seem disconnected.

In my opinion, this looks more like a RAGE entry, or an early NewGrounds flash game, everything seems inconsistent, it looks barren and it's devoid of any decorations (small things such as flowers or heck, even stars for the sky). Tiles aren't properly placed (it's noticeable in the second pic)...

Might be late on this one, but there seems to be a lot of clashing art styles here: Mod.Gen Sonic sprite, Mania background and Hud, and Sonic Advance 2 Leaf Forest tiles. Feels like there's a lack of direction in art, I highly suggest you to stick with one style or try to come up with custom...

As in, this Sonic Turbo? Never played it, but it looks cool, also aren't those Sonic SV2's sprites? One last question, but you said you were searching for old fan games, could you please tell us where, as in, the wayback machine archives or your old files?

I also suggest looking at ScaleyFoxy's vids, he/she made a lot of vids about old Sonic fan games. Most of which I didn't even know lmao.

Personally, I find old Sonic fan games to have a sort of weird charm despite their very limited technical capabilities: The use of MIDIs for the soundtrack, the wonky physics and the over usage of lanky Sonic sprites that were supposed to...
